    - By Tim Gregorski

When I first stepped in as the editorial director of Water & Wastes Digest more than five years ago, I took on a great challenge that helped me reach new goals and discover the exciting side of the water and wastewater industry. Emerging water and wastewater treatment technologies, crumbling infrastructure, continuous funding issues and the overall state of the industry, as well as day-to-day production of WWD, have always kept me on my toes.

Over the years, I’ve learned so much from meeting you at industry events and conferences, and I have done my best to relay your ideas and valuable information within the pages of WWD to other industry professionals.

I also have tried to inspire you by featuring new topics on product information and technical solutions that could help you succeed in your line of work.

I hope you have enjoyed reading WWD and although I am stepping down as an editorial director, I’m positive that Neda Simeonova, the new editorial director, will continue to drive up the quality of WWD editorial content. Neda has worked behind the scenes as managing editor of WWD and also as editor of its sister publication Water Quality Products for the last three years.

Please welcome her aboard as she takes the reins starting with the August issue of WWD.

Thank you for your continued support and helping me truly feel like a part of this industry. It’s been a pleasure!
